1. What is EUCLORINA and what is it used for
EUCLORINA contains the active ingredient chloramine, belonging to the class of medicines known
as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing down or preventing the growth of bacteria.
EUCLORINA 1% cutaneous solution is used, in adults and children, for washes and compresses
in:
- Immediate disinfection of superficial wounds of small size, scratches and abrasions.
- Disinfection of the skin before injections.
- Disinfection of pressure ulcers (skin lesions affecting parts of the body subjected to pressure for prolonged periods) of mild severity.
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.
2. What you need to know before using EUCLORINA
Do not use EUCLORINA
- if you are allergic to chloramine, to similar substances or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking EUCLORINA.
This medicine is for external use only.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious consequences, sometimes
fatal.
Do not use for prolonged treatments: after a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your
doctor.
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products can give rise to sensitization phenomena
(excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances with which it has come into contact); in this case, discontinue the
treatment and consult your doctor to establish appropriate therapy.
Other medicines and EUCLORINA
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other
medicines.
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant or are planning a pregnancy, or if you are breastfeeding, ask your
doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
This medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and operating machinery
EUCLORINA does not impair the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
3. How to use EUCLORINA
Use this medicine following exactly what is reported in this leaflet or the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply the medicine directly to the area to be disinfected using a sterile gauze, cotton wool or a dressing, up to 2-3 times a day if necessary.
The bottle is equipped with a cap with a child-resistant safety closure system.
To open:
- 1. Break the warranty seal
- 2. Press on the top of the cap and turn simultaneously
To close:
Screw on tightly.
Consult your doctor if the disorder persists or recurs.
If you use more EUCLORINA than you should
In case of accidental intake of an excessive dose of EUCLORINA 1% cutaneous solution, immediately inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
It is possible, in some cases, to experience intolerance (burning or irritation) that does not require a
change in treatment as these side effects are generally transient. However, when they occur, it is advisable to
consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Reporting of side effects
If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. You can also report side effects directly
through the national reporting system at https://www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazioni-

5. How to store EUCLORINA
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is reported on the packaging.
This date refers to the product in intact packaging correctly stored.
Do not dispose of any medicine in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of
medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the pack and other information
What EUCLORINA contains
- The active ingredient is chloramine. 100 ml of 1% solution contains 1 g of chloramine.
- The other ingredients are: sodium carbonate monohydrate, sodium bicarbonate, purified water as needed to 100 ml. Description of the appearance of EUCLORINAand contents of the packThe medicine is presented in the form of a 1% cutaneous solution. Packs containing a 250 ml bottle or a 500 ml bottle are available.

1. What is EUCLORINA and what is it used for
EUCLORINA contains the active ingredient chloramine, belonging to the class of medicines known
as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing down or preventing the growth of
bacteria.
EUCLORINA 2.5% cutaneous solution is used for:
- Disinfection of the external genitalia, particularly during the puerperium (the period of time needed for the female genital tract to regain its normal functionality after childbirth) and after delivery.
- Pre-operative prophylaxis in general and gynecological surgery.
- Disinfectant footbaths.
- Disinfection of skin, both intact and in the presence of small superficial wounds.
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

For washes to be performed up to 4 times a day, dilute 25 ml of product (one measuring cap) per every liter of water.
The bottle is equipped with a cap with a child-resistant safety closure system.
To open:
- 1. Break the warranty seal
- 2. Press down on the top of the cap and turn simultaneously
To close:
Screw on tightly.
Do not exceed the recommended doses indicated without consulting your doctor.
Consult your doctor if the disorder persists or if it recurs.
If you use more EUCLORINA than you should

3. How to use EUCLORINA

For skin disinfection and cleaning:
Dissolve the contents of 4 sachets in 1 liter of water (or 1 sachet in 250 ml of water).
For the disinfection of external genitalia:
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 1 liter of water. 1 application per day unless otherwise prescribed by a
doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended doses without the advice of your doctor.
Consult your doctor if the condition persists or recurs.
If you use more EUCLORINA than you should
