used to treat the ocular symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis.
2. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE USING BRUNISTILL
Do not use Brunistill
Do not use Brunistill if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active ingredient (ketotifene) or to any
of the excipients of Brunistill.
Other medicines and Brunistill
If you need to instill other medicinal products into your eyes together with Brunistill, you should allow
at least 5 minutes between one application and the next.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other
medicines, including those available without a prescription. This is particularly important for
medicines used to treat:
- depression
- allergies (e.g. antihistamines) Brunistill with food and drinkBrunistill may increase the effects of alcohol. Pregnancy and breastfeedingThere are no clinical data on the use of Brunistill in women during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or believe you may be, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using Brunistill. Brunistill can be used during breastfeeding. Driving and operating machinery
Brunistill may cause blurred vision or drowsiness. If this happens, wait
until your vision clears before driving or using tools or machinery.
3. HOW TO USE BRUNISTILL
Always use Brunistill exactly as described in this leaflet or as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose for adults and children (3 years and over) is one drop in the affected eye(s) 2 times
a day (morning and evening).
A single-dose container contains enough solution for one application in both
eyes.
The contents and container remain sterile until the original seal is opened. To avoid the risk
of contamination, do not touch any surface with the tip of the container.
DURATION OF TREATMENT
According to therapeutic needs, as determined by the doctor.
Instructions for use
To use the single-dose container, follow these steps:
- 1. Wash your hands
- 2. Open the blister and take the strip of single-dose containers
- 3. Detach one of the single-dose containers from the strip (Fig. A)
- 4. Shake the nozzle to free it from liquid
- 5. Replace the remaining single-dose containers and close the blister by folding it over. Reinsert the blister into the box
- 6. Open the container by rotating the tab and pulling simultaneously (Fig. B). Do not touch the tip after opening the container
- 7. Turn the container upside down and gently shake to allow the liquid to descend
- 8. Tilt your head back (Fig. C), lower the lower eyelid with your finger and hold the container with your other hand (Fig. D). Apply moderate pressure to the walls of the single-dose container and slowly squeeze out a drop of eye drops into the eye, instilling it into the eye.
- 9. Close your eyes and press on the corner of your eye with your finger for about 1-2 minutes (Fig. E). This prevents the drop from flowing through the tear duct into the throat; in this way, most of the drop will remain in the eye. If necessary, repeat steps 6 to 8 in the other eye.
- 10. Dispose of the container after use.
