Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet, or as your doctor or
pharmacist has told you.

1. What is Antireumina and what is it used for
Antireumina contains three active ingredients, acetylsalicylic acid
and paracetamolwhich have an analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory action and caffeine,
a mild stimulant that increases the analgesic effects of the first two compounds.
Antireumina is indicated to combat headache and other types of pain such as neuralgia, toothache, menstrual pain
and joint pain. Antireumina is effective in reducing fever and relieving the symptoms
of the common cold.
2. What you need to know before taking Antireumina
Do not use Antireumina:
- If you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, paracetamol or caffeine or to any of the other components of this medicine (listed in section 6)
- In the third trimester of pregnancy
- In children and adolescents under the age of sixteen years. If you suffer from or have suffered from:
- Established tendency to bleeding
- Documented presence of ulcers in the stomach or duodenum
- Favism (hereditary disease characterized by a deficiency of the enzyme (a specialized protein) called glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase)
- Severe hemolytic anemia (anemia due to the destruction of red blood cells)
- Severe liver function impairment
- Asthma
Warnings and precautions
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Antireumina
In particular, consult your doctor if:
- you frequently experience stomach or intestinal disorders
- you are taking other medicines containing paracetamol, because paracetamol, if taken at high doses, can cause serious side effects
- you intend to become pregnant, because the use of this medicine is not recommended
- you have fertility problems, or are undergoing fertility investigations, as treatment should be discontinued
- you are being treated with other anti-inflammatory drugs
- you suffer from severe liver and kidney diseases
- you are over 70 years of age and are receiving concomitant therapies
Do not use the medicine for more than 3 consecutive days without consulting your doctor.
In case of allergic reactions, stop treatment and immediately inform your doctor.
Other medicines and Antireumina
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any
other medicine.
Use Antireumina with caution and under direct medical supervision if you are being treated with drugs that
can determine the induction of hepatic monooxygenases or in case of exposure to substances that
can have such an effect (for example rifampicin, cimetidine, antiepileptics such as glutethimide,
phenobarbital, carbamazepine).
Tell your doctor if you are taking:
- medicines used to reduce blood clotting (anticoagulants),
- medicines used to lower uricemia (uricosuric drugs),
- medicines used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus (sulfonamides, hypoglycemic agents),
- flucloxacillin (antibiotic), due to a serious risk of alterations in blood and fluids (metabolic acidosis with high anion gap) which must be treated urgently and which can occur particularly in case of severe renal impairment, sepsis (when bacteria and their toxins circulate in the blood leading to organ damage), malnutrition, chronic alcoholism and if the maximum daily doses of paracetamol are used.
Tell your doctor if you are to undergo surgery as this medicine may interfere with
stopping the blood flow during surgery (intraoperative hemostasis).
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding
ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The product is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.
If necessary, during the first and second trimester of pregnancy, Antireumina can be used
It is advisable to use the lowest possible dose that reduces pain and/or fever and to take it for the shortest
possible time.
Contact your doctor if the pain and/or fever does not decrease or if you have to take the medicine more often.
The administration of Antireumina should be discontinued in women who have fertility problems or who are undergoing fertility investigations.
Driving and operating machinery
Antireumina does not impair the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
3. How to take Antireumina
Take this medicine following exactly the instructions in this leaflet or as indicated by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose of Antireumina is 1 tablet, up to a maximum of 4 tablets per day.
The tablet should be swallowed whole with the help of a little water.
Elderly people should use reduced doses. The preparation should be taken on a full stomach.
Do not exceed the recommended doses.
If you take more Antireumina than you should:
In case of accidental ingestion/intake of an excessive dose of Antireumina, immediately notify your doctor or go to the nearest hospital. Bring the medicine with you.
Overdosage may cause:
- hepatic insufficiency (hepatic cytolysis, which may progress to massive and irreversible necrosis),
- a hyperstimulation syndrome with excitation, insomnia, tinnitus, muscle tremor, nausea, vomiting, increased diuresis, tachycardia, extrasystole, scotoma.
If you forget to use Antireumina
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
If you stop taking Antireumina
If you have any doubts about the use of this medicine, consult your doctor.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Auditory disturbances (ringing, etc.), dizziness, and bleeding, especially from the
nasal mucosa (“epistaxis”) and gums, have also been reported.
With the use of paracetamol, skin reactions of various types and severity have been reported, including on an
allergic basis, including cases of erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and epidermal necrolysis, conditions
involving varying degrees of widespread skin redness, the appearance of blisters on the skin, and detachment of part
of the skin with general malaise. Hypersensitivity reactions such as, for example,
angioedema (i.e., localized and self-limiting swelling present in the tissues under the skin and
under the mucous membranes), laryngeal edema (swelling of the throat with a feeling of obstruction), and anaphylactic shock (severe
allergic reaction with rapid onset that can also be fatal) have also been reported. The
following side effects have also been reported: reduction in the number of platelets (blood cells that facilitate its
coagulation) and leukocytes (white blood cells), anemia, agranulocytosis (disappearance or reduction of specific white blood cells called granulocytes), alterations in liver function and hepatitis, alterations affecting the
kidney with the possible appearance of blood in the urine, and gastrointestinal disorders.

If you experience any side effects, including those not listed in this leaflet, please inform your
doctor or pharmacist. You can also report side effects directly through the national reporting system at www.aifa.gov.it/content/segnalazioni-reazioni-avverse. By reporting
side effects, you can help provide more information on the safety of this
medicine.
5. How to store Antireumina
Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
This medicine does not require special storage conditions.
Do not dispose of any medicine in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.

Each tablet contains:
the active ingredients are:
Acetylsalicylic acid 275 mg, Paracetamol 175 mg, Caffeine 25 mg.
The other ingredients are:
Corn starch, magnesium stearate, precipitated silica, microcrystalline cellulose.
