1. What is Tauro and what is it used for
Tauro contains the active ingredient tauroursodeoxycholic acid dihydrate.
Tauroursodeoxycholic acid is physiologically present in the human body. It works by preventing the
synthesis of cholesterol and increasing the solubility of cholesterol itself.
Tauro is used for:
- combating the formation of cholesterol stones,
- facilitating the dissolution of cholesterol stones.
Tauro is used for both gallbladder stones (the sac where bile accumulates) and stones in the
bile ducts that have remained or reformed after surgical procedures.
2. What you need to know before taking Tauro

- if you have intestinal diseases or problems that may alter the flow of bile between the liver and intestine (enterohepatic circulation).
