1. What is Tegens and what is it for
Tegens is a medicine based on bioflavonoids extracted from blueberry which has a protective action on capillaries and veins (vasoprotector).
Tegens is used for the treatment of symptoms due to venous insufficiency (difficult return of blood to the heart); capillary fragility (tendency of capillaries to
break or dilate).
Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of
treatment.
2. What you need to know before taking Tegens
Do not take Tegens
- if you are allergic to the anthocyanoside complex of blueberry or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Tegens if:
you are pregnant or breastfeeding (see “Pregnancy and breastfeeding”).
Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after a short period of
treatment.
Children and adolescents
The use of this product is reserved for adults.
Other medicines and Tegens
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might
take any other medicines.
No adverse effects due to interaction with other substances have ever been reported.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant or are planning a pregnancy, or if you
are breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking
this medicine.
The safety of the medicine during pregnancy has not been determined, therefore it is advisable
not to administer the product during pregnancy.
During breastfeeding, Tegens should only be used after consulting your doctor and
assessing the risk/benefit ratio in your specific case with him.
Driving and operating machinery
No negative effects on the ability to drive and operate machines are known.
Tegens contains lactose
This medicine contains lactose. If your doctor has told you that you have an intolerance
to certain sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. How to take Tegens
Take this medicine following exactly as indicated in this leaflet or as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is:2 - 4 capsules per day
.
Caution: do not exceed the indicated doses without consulting your doctor.
Tegens can be taken at any time of the day, independently of meals.
It is advisable to take this medicine in the morning and in the evening, with intervals of 6-8 hours.
Consult your doctor if the disorder occurs repeatedly or if you have noticed any recent change in its characteristics.
Caution: use only for short periods of treatment.
Method of administration
Swallow the capsules with a little water.
If you take more Tegens than you should
No cases of overdose are known.
However, in case of accidental ingestion/intake of an excessive dose of Tegens, immediately inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital.
If you have any doubts about the use of this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everyone will experience them.
Rarely, cases of gastrointestinal disorders, such as heartburn, nausea and a feeling of heaviness in the stomach, and skin erythema (redness of the
skin) have been reported.

What Tegens contains
- The active ingredient is: blueberry anthocyanosidic complex with 36% anthocyanosides (Myrtocyan). Each capsule contains 80 mg of blueberry anthocyanosidic complex with 36% anthocyanosides.
- The other ingredients are: mannitol, lactose, methylcellulose, citric acid, precipitated silica, magnesium stearate; capsule shell excipient: gelatin.
