1. What is FLEBOSIDE and what is it used for
FLEBOSIDE contains two active ingredients, troxerutin and carbazochrome. Troxerutin is a
substance of natural origin (bioflavonoid) that has a protective effect on blood vessels (capillary-protective
action). Carbazochrome, by constricting small blood vessels (local vasoconstrictor
action), reduces bleeding time (hemorrhage). The association of these two active ingredients
determines stopping of bleeding (hemostasis) and protection of blood vessels (vasoprotection).
This medicine is indicated in the treatment of:
- symptoms due to problems with blood circulation (venous insufficiency);
- fragility of small blood vessels (capillaries).
2. What you need to know before you take FLEBOSIDE
Do not take FLEBOSIDE
- if you are allergic to troxerutin, carbazochrome or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking FLEBOSIDE.
Other medicines and FLEBOSIDE
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take
any other medicines.
No interactions between FLEBOSIDE and other medicines are known.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning a pregnancy, or if you are breastfeeding with
breast milk, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
The use of FLEBOSIDE during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended, as the risk of harmful effects on the fetus and infant cannot be excluded.
Driving and using machines
This medicine does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery.
FLEBOSIDE contains sucrose and the colourant sunset yellow orange (E110)
This medicine contains sucrose, a type of sugar. If your doctor has diagnosed you with
an intolerance to certain sugars, contact them before taking this medicine.
This medicine contains the colourant sunset yellow orange which may cause allergic reactions.
3. How to take FLEBOSIDE
Take this medicine following exactly the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist. If you
have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 2-4 tablets per day to be taken orally (by mouth).
The doctor will establish the appropriate dose for you, based on your needs.
If you take more FLEBOSIDE than you should
Cases of overdose are not known.
In case of accidental ingestion/intake of an excessive dose of FLEBOSIDE, immediately
inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital.
If you forget to take FLEBOSIDE
Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed tablet.
If you have any doubts about the use of this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
4. Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
The following side effects may occur:

- stomach discomfort (gastric intolerance) including nausea.

5. How to store FLEBOSIDE
Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the packaging after “Exp.”.
The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
This medicine does not require any particular storage conditions.
Do not dispose of any medicine in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how
to dispose of medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
6. Contents of the pack and other information
What FLEBOSIDE contains
- The active ingredients are troxerutin and carbazochrome. Each coated tablet contains 300 mg of troxerutin and 3 mg of carbazochrome.
- The other ingredients are: gum arabic, corn starch, talc, titanium dioxide (E171), polyvinylpyrrolidone, colloidal silica, magnesium stearate, calcium carbonate, kaolin, yellow orange S (E110), indigotine (E 132), sucrose.

1. What is FLEBOSIDE and what is it used for

(mesotherapy).

No interactions between FLEBOSIDE and other medicines are known.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility
If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning a pregnancy, or if you are breastfeeding
with breast milk, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
The use of FLEBOSIDE during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended, as the risk of harmful
effects on the foetus and infant cannot be excluded.
Driving and operating machinery
This medicine does not alter the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery.
FLEBOSIDE contains sodium
This medicine contains 28.3 mg (or 1.23 mmol) of sodium per maximum dose (3 vials). This
is equivalent to 1.4% of the maximum recommended daily intake with the diet of an adult. This should
be taken into consideration in people with impaired renal function or who are following a low-sodium
diet.
3. How to use FLEBOSIDE
Use this medicine following the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist or
nurse exactly. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 1-3 vials per day by injection into a muscle (intramuscular route).
Do not mix the medicine with solutions containing ascorbic acid.
If you use more FLEBOSIDE than you should
Cases of overdose are not known.
In case of accidental ingestion/intake of an excessive dose of FLEBOSIDE, immediately
inform your doctor or go to the nearest hospital.

- skin irritation (local and generalized erythema), in case of inappropriate administration under the skin (mesotherapy: intradermal or subcutaneous route).

5. How to store FLEBOSIDE
